The Elbasan Police have arrested a 32-year-old man from Peqin, who is suspected of using police uniforms similar to those of the Police to camouflage himself and avoid road checks.
According to official information, the young man was located in the village of Bradashesh, while driving an “Audi” type vehicle, on the front of which he had placed signage similar to police vehicles.
Preliminary verifications show that the purpose of using the uniforms was to create the idea that the vehicle was official, with the aim of avoiding checks by the law enforcement services.
During the search of the vehicle, the police officers also found a firearm, a pistol with cartridges.
The police announced that the weapon, uniforms and vehicle have been seized as material evidence, while legal procedures and investigations are ongoing against the 32-year-old to fully clarify the circumstances.
