An Emirates passenger flight arriving from Thiruvananthapuram, India, turned into a major aviation emergency when it crash-landed at Dubai International Airport, resulting in a dramatic rescue operation that captured global attention. The aircraft, carrying 282 passengers and 18 crew members, encountered serious difficulties during its final approach after the crew reported a critical problem involving the landing gear. Challenging weather conditions, including possible wind shear, further complicated the landing.
At approximately 12:45 p.m. local time, the aircraft touched down under emergency conditions. Upon impact, the plane sustained severe damage and was quickly engulfed in flames.
